One Day to Feed the World

Transforming Lives Through Generosity
At River Valley Church, we believe in the power of generosity to change the world. That’s why each year, we invite our church to participate in One Day to Feed the World, an annual offering where we give the equivalent of one day’s wage to support our Kingdom Builders’ partners. These partners are actively working to end hunger and bring hope to people in need, both in our local communities and across the globe.
For the last two years in a row, through One Day to Feed the World, we’ve raised over a million dollars to help end hunger around the world! This year, our goal was to raise $1 million to continue supporting these incredible organizations, and we are thrilled to share how your generosity is making an impact. Through the contributions of our church, lives are being transformed by the power of nutritious food and the hope of the Gospel.
Our Kingdom Builders’ Partners
We are blessed to work with a variety of partners who are committed to feeding those in need and sharing the message of Christ’s love. Our Kingdom Builders’ partners that work to end hunger include:
Convoy of Hope
Feed My Starving Children
ICCM Life Center
Venture
Union Gospel Mission
Jesus Food
Compassion International
Healing Haiti
Samaritan’s Purse
Hand of Hope
Children’s Cup
These organizations are making a difference in the lives of thousands of people around the world, and every dollar given through One Day to Feed the World provides approximately five meals to those in need. This year we highlighted two specific partners who are having a profound impact both locally and globally.
ICCM Life Center: Serving Our Community
One of the key partners we support is the ICCM Life Center, an organization that has been meeting the needs of our local community for over three decades. Located right in our own backyard, the Life Center is dedicated to helping the most vulnerable members of our community. Last year, they served over 34,000 people through their Friday Night Street Team and an additional 24,000 through their afternoon feeding programs.
What makes the Life Center’s work so special is the way they combine physical nourishment with spiritual care. When someone receives a meal, they are not just getting food—they are greeted with love, prayer and the message that they are seen, heard and valued by God. As one leader from the Life Center shared, “Those 34,000 hot dogs we gave were 34,000 prayers.” This is a place where people don’t just find physical sustenance but the hope and love of Christ.
Feed My Starving Children: Impacting the World
On a global scale, we are proud to partner with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hunger worldwide. This year, FMSC’s goal was to send 380 million meals to children in need across more than 100 countries. But their mission goes beyond providing food—they also provide a message of hope and the opportunity for spiritual transformation.
As one of FMSC’s partners explained, “Food is the small key that opens the door.” When children and their families receive meals, they not only find physical relief, but they also gain access to the Gospel and life-changing discipleship. Through this partnership, we’ve had the honor of helping provide meals to children who are waiting for a chance to experience God’s love and receive the hope that comes through faith in Jesus.
