Around River Valley YTH

Get Connected

Here’s everything happening around River Valley YTH throughout the year - from weekly discipleship opportunities to seasonal events, trips, and experiences designed to help students grow in faith and community.

YTH+

YTH+ is a seasonal discipleship group offered during the fall and winter alongside our adult Core Groups. Designed for students who want to go deeper in their faith beyond Wednesday nights, YTH+ helps students grow in their understanding of Scripture, live out its truth in everyday life, and build meaningful community as they pursue God’s purpose for their life.

MYC

Minnesota Youth Convention is a two-day event in October each year in Rochester, MN, where students get to grow in their faith, worship with hundreds of other students, and experience an unforgettable weekend together. River Valley YTH joins churches from across the state for powerful services, fun moments, and opportunities to build community and grow as disciples of Jesus.

YTHCON

YTHCON is our annual two-day youth conference held each February. Students gather for powerful worship, incredible speakers, Holy Spirit-led moments, opportunities to grow in their faith, and so much more! Registration will open at the end of each year.

YTH Camp

YTH Camp is a five-day summer experience held every year, filled with fun, friends, worship, and opportunities for students to grow in their faith. Students entering grades 6–12, including graduating seniors, are invited to join us for a life-changing week in an environment that honors God and builds community.

Revival Night

Twice a year, students from every campus come together for a powerful night of worship, a timely message, and life-changing encounters with Jesus. Join us in the spring and the fall for Revival Night!

Fine Arts

Fine Arts is an incredible opportunity for students to use their God-given gifts to glorify Him and grow in their skills. Each fall, students can sign up and submit their entries for the opportunity to participate in District and National Fine Arts, which we view not just as a competition, but as a discipleship tool.

Student Leadership

Student leadership is for any current students who want to help lead the way amongst their peers at YTH. Student leaders help with Wednesday night YTH services, lead small groups, build meaningful connections with their peers, and receive weekly development from key leaders and Youth Pastors as they grow in their faith.

FAQ

As a parent, how can I get involved in Youth?

We love having parents serve in Youth! If this is something you’re interested in, complete the Youth leader application (link to application - same as the “serve” button already on the page) and reach out to your campus YTH Pastor to let them know! They would love to meet with you to discuss what God has put on your hear.

Can I meet my student’s Youth leader and Youth Pastor?

We’d love for you to meet your student’s Youth Pastor and leaders. One of the best times to do that is when you drop your student off, between 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM, during our pre service time.

Can I stay for the Youth Service when I bring my child?

For the safety and security of our students, we ask that you check in at the New Here table to receive a lanyard to wear before sitting through one of our services. This allows our security team to know that you are approved to be in the building, but you are not a background checked adult or a volunteer Youth Leader. We also have a parent area in the lobby where you can sit, drink coffee and watch our services on the TV in the lobby.

Do you feed students dinner at Youth?

We do not feed students dinner at Youth, but we do have a YTH Café where students can purchase snacks or drinks.

How do you select your Youth Leaders?

All of our Youth Leaders apply to serve in Youth. Once their application is submitted, all of our Youth Leaders are background and reference checked. Finally, they meet with our Youth Pastors and are trained in on Youth Ministry, they sign a Leader Covenant ensuring unity in beliefs, values and morals. They read through a handbook that lays out expectations, heart and reasons for dismissal.

Is there security at Youth?

Yes! Every campus has background checked and trained security members who help ensure the safety of our students every Wednesday night.

What does Youth look like on Wednesday Nights?

Wednesday Night Youth Ministry is a weekly service specifically for students currently in 6th - 12th grade with no sign up required. Our Wednesday Night services include powerful worship, community driven small groups that are split by grade and gender and a message that points students back to the Word of God.
