Local Projects exists to serve the poor, the forgotten, and those in our community. Through Local Projects, we empower you to serve in the community by partnering with local organizations. River Valley has vetted each of our partner organizations and continues to look for ones making an impact in the community. Some examples of our Local Projects include: providing Christmas gifts to children through Angel Tree and Operation Christmas Child, providing meals through Feed My Starving Children, and cleaning parks within our cities. Through these and other projects, we believe God will use our simple acts of kindness to bring others closer to Him.

Local Project Events

River Valley hosts four large events quarterly across all campuses to raise awareness about Local Projects around a specific initiative and then point people to ongoing opportunities of service.

Local Project Lifegroups

All Lifegroups are encouraged to be a World Changer in their local communities, whether it is serving at a local food shelf or helping the elderly with lawn care. To find ideas and opportunities for your group, check out handsontwincities.org.

Across our campuses we also have specific Lifegroups designed around meeting needs in the community.
