How to Talk to My Child About…
There are many milestone faith moments in your child’s life, and we want to help you navigate each and every one of them! These classes give pastoral advice on how to have healthy spiritual conversations with your kids as they grow into the man or woman of God that He created them to be.
What age does my child need to be to attend Go Kids?
Go Kids is broken up into three age ranges: Flight School (6 weeks to 2 years old), Flight Lab (3 to 5 years old), and Go Port (6 years-old to 5th grade).
What is the mission of Go Kids?
Our mission to partner with parents to lead children into an authentic, relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe we are leading the next generation of world changers!
What can I expect when I arrive for the first time?
When arriving to Go Kids, you will register your family at the Family Registration desk, where team members can assist you. You will then check-in your child at a check-in station and print off their nametags. You will receive two name tags, one for your child to wear and one for pick-up after service. It is important you keep your child’s pick-up receipt, as that is a security measure we take to ensure all pick-ups are safe! A team member will then show you to your child’s classroom, where they will be checked into that particular classroom.
How do I know my child is safe in Go Kids?
We keep it safe in Go Kids and have security present at all times. All persons entering the Go Kids environments are either serving as a Volunteer or dropping off/picking up children. In addition to this, all Volunteers are background and reference checked before they serve. You will see each Volunteer wears a yellow nametag to identify they have been cleared to serve. Each of our classrooms has room ratios to ensure the safety of the specific ages.
What will my child do in Go Kids?
In our preschool and elementary rooms, your child will dive deep into Bible stories through a variety of large group lessons, games, discussions with Leaders, and prayer time. We believe in the next generation and our greatest joy is to learn, laugh, grow, and worship together!
What Bible verse is my child learning this month?
Preschool (3-5 years) – “…He has given me the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:19
Elementary (6 years-5th grade) – “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8
