Day 2: Our Lead Pastor and his Family

And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding. (Jeremiah 3:15)

God promises to give His people leaders who will feed them with knowledge and understanding. He calls these leaders, “shepherds after His own heart,” and we are blessed with a Lead Pastor who captures the very heart of this promise.

I’ve known Pastor Rob for more than thirty years. We went to school together, grew to be close friends, and now I have the honor to serve under his visionary and humble leadership. Pastor Rob leads our church so well, and more importantly, he leads his family with such grace and passion.

Becca, Connor, Logan and Mac are great examples of what God is doing in and through our Lead Pastor. His family loves God, loves the local church, and is passionate about seeing lost people saved, and if anything, that reflects the heart of God.

God is all about seeing every person hear the saving message of Jesus Christ, and our Lead Pastor will stop at nothing until all may hear. That’s why our church is so passionate about Global Project, Kingdom Builders, and raising up a new generation of leaders and pastors.

If you spend any amount of time with Pastor Rob, it’s easy to see God has gifted him with faith, leadership, and vision, but let me take a moment and let you know that behind all that, Pastor Rob has a relationship with God that is marked by heartfelt joy and life.

My prayer is that his relationship with God continues to be the most important relationship in his life. He spends life-giving time in God’s presence daily, and that’s what is going to keep him a man after God’s heart, which is exactly what our church needs. So as we continue in our annual prayer and fasting season, please join me in praying for my friend, Pastor Rob and his family.

Prayer points:

  • Pray for a special anointing on Pastor Rob and his family.
  • Pray for continued fresh vision and faith-filled dreams for our church.
  • Pray for a health, peace, and strength for Pastor Rob and his family in this new year.
