Day 13: Minnetrista Campus

It is an amazing journey to pursue the things of God. A life after God’s heart is one of complete fulfillment. We should all agree that following Christ requires more than just a verbal commitment. I have come to discover that our faith journey calls us to more. We are called to not only do something about our faith but to recognize when God is moving in our lives.

2017 was an amazing year for the Minnetrista Campus. I am blown away! I have seen our campus grow in size but my pursuit is to also see it grow in depth. My heart as a pastor is to have moments where we throw to the side our comfort and our worries, and we move toward complete abandonment.

Then the Lord took Abram outside and said to him, “Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!” And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith. (Genesis 15:5-6)

We see the story of Abram desiring a miracle and God turns the attention away from Abram and asks him to step outside of his tent. What he says next affirms His creative power. “Try counting the stars.” In that moment God makes a statement by saying, “Nothing is beyond me. Not only am I good on my promise but I will do more than you can imagine.”

What I find most important is that Abram took up God on His invitation to step out but was also able to recognize that God was there with him.

This year be aware when God is moving and step out. Leave your comfort behind, leave your worry behind, and find the depth that exists when we follow the presence of God.

The best is yet to come!

Prayer points:

  • Pray for a deeper passion for surrender in Christ.
  • Pray that the Minnetrista Campus would be the greatest influencer on Lake Minnetonka.
  • Pray for the mission to reach those in our communities.
